PRINTED BUSINESS OF ART
3D JEWELS BY KEYHOLDER CREATIONS

Erin Fezell is an artist, geek, and Ramen enthusiast who creates various paintings, drawings, and digital doodles of graffiti stylized cartoon creatures. But she had always yearned to find a way to mix her love for technology and her love for art.

...I never could quite find a fitting solution. 3D printing seemed like the right fit but it was also a pipe dream due to cost.

Now erin is the owner of KeyHolder Creations, a vintage inspired hand drawn 3D printed jewelry company based out of Nashville, Tennessee. She started her business with her first 3D printer.

“I found my first 3D printer in a clearance section at a big box store - a $1500 competitor printer for $9.98! So as you can imagine, I couldn't pass that up. While my first 3D printer was definitely of value for what it taught me, it did come with a cost. It was a closed source printer, the build platform was super small, and anything that I printed required a raft. I could not modify any of the print settings to go with any various filament types nor were replacing parts much of an option. All of this resulted in a product that was rough on one side, would take HOURS to clean up after a print, and was just an embarrassing example of what 3D printing can do.”

Functionality, specs, aesthetics, and cost were all the things that needed to be considered. CraftUnique's printers were the only ones that hit all of my criteria!

She Chose CraftUnique
over Competitors

As the popularity of her products grew, so did her need for a better machine.

“I had been searching for months and debating on the right 3D printer for my business. I wanted something that provided the most features for my budget but still gave my business room to grow. I needed the ability to control my prints more than the current system allowed.

With the CraftBots, I am able to use the included slicer (CraftWare) or any third party software. I could modify temp/speed/other various settings mid-print on the touchscreen, my prints are saved in case there are any power outages (the printer will give the option to carry on the print when power is restored), and the parts are easy to repair/replace without expensive ‘all in one’ pieces. With all of this research, however, there was something I had not taken into consideration when I was shopping for 3D printers - the potential level of customer service that I would receive.

CRAFTUNIQUE HAS TAKEN ME BY COMPLETE SURPRISE.
MY EXPERIENCE WITH CRAFTUNIQUE HAS ALWAYS BEEN NOTHING SHORT OF AMAZING. THE STAFF AT CRAFTUNIQUE HAS BEEN SOLID, INFORMATIVE, AND CONSISTENT AND HAS ALWAYS GONE ABOVE AND BEYOND”

Whether it’s been via chat to the folks in Hungary or a call/email/text to the United States team, CraftUnique has always stood behind their products. They have single-handedly won a customer for life because they have what most other companies are lacking - they are loyal to their customers!”

FROM JEWELRY TO HOME DECOR

“I am now the proud owner of not one, but two CraftBot 2s. I currently create various jewelry pieces that have a very organic flow to them. With my CraftBot 2s, I am able to take the details that I sculpt with various software titles and make them a reality.

THE DETAILS THAT THESE PRINTERS CAN PROVIDE
IS EXTREMELY IMPRESSIVE FOR THE PRICE POINT

I have five current style that I offer, with many more in the making. Because of the large build volume on my CraftBot 2s, I’m branching out to offer home decor as well! My customers truly help drive the movement of my business. I modestly began with only one pendant design, offered in a matching necklace and earring set, with only six color options. Now, I am at five designs with over thirty color options!

I am proud to say, the pieces I create are that of my own design. I’ve drawn in 2D for such a long time that learning to shift into the 3D realm has been a bit of a learning curve for me. Because my pieces are more organic, something like a CAD setup falls a bit short for me (likely by mown lack of knowledge rather than the software). My skills are constantly evolving and I am proud to say that my CraftBot 2s are able to foster my growth! Now I’m eagerly awaiting the CraftBot 3, wondering just where that printer could take my designs!”
